You need at least one computer with wifi or ethernet cable to make a connection with the router. A modem with active internet connection. You need PPPOE username and password to setup belkin ax3200 if your internet works on PPPOE connection.
How To Install Belkin AX3200 Wifi Router
Belkin RT3200 support parent and child node easymesh. Its installation is as similar as setup of Belkin AX1800. Further, follow the instructions below to setup the Belkin AX3200 Wifi router.
- Plugged in Modem to the WAN or Internet port of the Belkin router with an ethernet cable.
- Plug in the Power adapter in your Belkin AX3200 wifi router.
- The power light blinks white means your router is starting.
- Connect the LAN port of the computer to the LAN port of the router using an ethernet cable. You can use your laptop wifi to connect with the router.
- Search wifi networks on your laptop.
- You will find Belkinxxxxx or Belkinxxxxx_5GHz. Here XXXX must be some alphanumeric numbers that show the serial number of that router.
- Once you will try to connect with wifi it will ask you for a password to connect. Find the wifi password on the back of the BelkinAx3200.
- After connecting with the router open the web browser on your PC.
- Type https://myrouter.local or 192.168.1.1 on the address bar of the browser and hit enter.
- Sometimes it won’t let you open the Belkin page. In this situation, you have to do a mac address clone of the router.
- Check mark on I have read and accept the License Terms for using this software and then click Next.
- Type your 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi names and passwords then click Next.
- Now you have to create a new router password. This will use for the next login on your setting page. That is also called an admin password.
- The next screen will show you all the settings before going to apply on your router. Click on Next if all your Belkin router settings are as you decide.
- Your PC will be disconnected from the router as soon as the settings are applied. You have to reconnect with your new wifi name and password.
- Once you will connect the Belkin setup will continue.
- Click Yes for adding this router as an EasyMesh child node. For making it Parent Node select No I’m done.
- The next page will ask you to register your product. Enter your email address checkmark and then click next.
- Select Automatic update by doing a tick mark on it.
